I am looking to get some opinions on what gear I should purchase that would meet the following criteria the closest.
1) Total cost needs to be less than $1000 for all gear.
2) Can be new or used
3) Picture quality is the most important criteria for me. It is important for me to be able to take pictures which can be blown up nicely (8X10, 20X30 etc). I prefer pictures which are sharp and show good detail.
4) Most of my pictures would be indoors in low-light so low light performance is also very important.
5) Would need at least one zoom lens and another lens could be a high quality prime.
6) I would use it for high-quality family pictures, travel, and events.
7) I am open to any brand (Canon, Nikon, other).
A Rebel XSi with a 85mm f/1.8 and 18-55mm IS kit lens. $1018.90, not including shipping. Or the XSi with the 18-135mm (it has IS, but then you can't get the fast prime lens.) I hope I was some help.
