p.1 #1 · P+M Wedding/Day-After | south florida

I shot this wedding yesterday with Alessando (Lisy78), who was great and easy to work with (thank you sir). He got some fantastic groom shots and keen on the details for me - he also got a far better kiss-the-bride shot that I managed (he did have better positioning). I left his work out, but if he doesn't post his (or if he posts different edits than mine), I'll do it then.

Warning: These are a little kid-heavy and there are more b/w than what's in the whole set.

Great stuff, super consistent exposures and processing. Did the groom change into jeans/shirt at end of wedding? Loving 14, I need to try the 2nd curtain blur thingy, never done it.

Awesome set Tony. Good to see you posting more! Again, your brides are always HOT! I love 11, I need to do more of those myself. 14, 16, 23 are my faves!

Thanks Spencer. Consistent? That's the best you can do. Sigh.

The day-after shoot was wrought with costume difficulties.

I actually learned that from Sam, who will tell you himself that he is not the master of exposure technique, especially flash. No 2nd curtain, just a slow shutter (from 1/10 to 1/40 or so) and a quick twist during exposure.

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing them.

Just a quick note on #6: Peek a boo... I see you! Any chance of cloning you out?

17 is priceless. He looks like he's trying to explain himself there.

Tony, I think consistency is one of the most overlooked things for any shooter. Making your shots consistent in style and everything else throughout a long period during the day is stuff of the pros. Something I'm feeling is lacking in my work. Dunno, it was an honest to goodness compliment

Smokin' set! Nothing to crit here...
I think that may be another shooter in 6. I would think Tony was hidden behind the bride...

What Boerup just said +1. Always have an idea what to expect when you post, but it is still so impressive.

Love your color images, they hold their own. The BW are lacking contrast. They don't seem to have any blacks and have a compressed mid-tone range. WB on 6 is way off, and if it isn't, then you should exercise a bit of "poetic license."

Good set, and the clients will love them. Killed the dress shots the day after!

Yes, that's me in there. I was trying to over-power the mess in the room with the lights and the pose. So I didn't really think to clone myself. I think the skin may be too orange now.

I did take it as a compliment, I just self-consciously read "boring" into it, rather than "reliable", my own fault. And, in that context, I really appreciate hearing it - thank you.

Let me start off by saying... once again... Thank you for having me along. It was well awesome to be able to help out!

While you're still all giddy about that sentence above let me deliver the blow... you suck! You should have said "I don't feel like carrying my bag tomorrow during the aftershoot, do you think you could carry the bag, act as the occasional foot stool and get me drinks?" and I would have said "where do I sign up, mofo?"

Ok, I'm over that... on to the photos.

Let's see... Love 5... those two are like old souls man... I can't get over the expressions and I can't get over how the little flower girl danced like a miniature adult... none of that exageration typical of little kids "trying too hard" it was kinda creepy in an incredibly awesome kind of way

Love 8... I know some here might be all like "silly expressions" well... I'm all about keeping it real... and these doods (yeah including Nelson, the groom's dad [and best man]) were as silly as they come... so the shot is totally true to form. 50 years from now it will remind everyone inolved that yeah they used to be clowns back then too

13!

14!!!!! This one is freaktastic! lighting from hell worked out gorgeously here and again... totally captured the cute goofyness of the bride during that dance. Methinks she'll love this one more and more as the years go by

Ok... too much praise. Film room, please rewind the reel a bit... ... ok some more ... yup right there.

6. WTF?!?! "^ Glass ^" and bags and no T/S 2 get yo ass out of the shot? (Yes he has one, no xcuses ) ... FAIL

ok.... back forward again....

15, 16... delicious! definitelly love the comp and expression in 16... she was all about the tender hand around his neck during kissing stuff... even for the first kiss it took her but 2 seconds to grab him and pull him to her <roar!>

19. Love love the interaction. Love the B/W but would have liked to see more of a not so frontal angle on her. She's got some nice curves... let's see them!!!! (I can't get it done at the time, but I see it later dude )

20. Love the pose, and the geometric stuff, and the processing.

21,22,23 Can't figure out which of these three is my favorite. They are all out-freggin-standing.... 21 is sexy as hell and in 22 and 23 she looks like a freggin' water goddess. They're going to love these so much!!!

Awesome job man! And I heard you also don't suck at picking second shooters
