Some of the best places to fish were at the base of the falls. Here are a couple of bears checking out the pools just below. One of them is Snaggletooth. Bruce

Wow, fairly close, and nice exposures! Pretty exciting to witness that! Great job!
Forgot to ask what lens did you use to get a 400mm @ f5.0?
Great shots, as usual, Bruce. Love the look the bear is giving you in #2, but #3 is my favorite.
Bruce has the light and maneuverable 400 f2.8, so he can get those lovely low-light shots. This particular lens was partly sponsored by the national chiropractic organization to increase their business.

Another nice series Bruce, what an experience... definitely on my bucket list.
I like #3 best... surprisingly sharp at 1/25 sec.

Kirk, you are right, it was very difficult to get a sharp one at such a slow shutter speed, but I took several hoping the bear would hold still. Bruce

Mark is correct, he knows my 400 2.8 and how sore my back is when I have to pack it in as I did here. I do not think my back would have gone one more foot carrying it when I left. Bruce

Thanks Mark, Good to hear from you. Are you going to Bosque this year?
