p.1 #1 · Is Elinchrom BXRi 500 a good start point?
I am an amateur photographer. I want to turn my 2 car garage into a fashion studio. Is Elinchrom BXRi 500 a good start point? I like it because I can tune the level of the output of the strobe from the Skyport on my camera hot shoe.
The following is what I did in a meetup group with beauty dish and AB strobe. I started loving the fashion photography.

It's great place to start. You'll love the digital controls, color, and exposure accuracy. Their light modifiers are wonderful also.

The 500 is a very nice unit. Good power, nice light, consistent, excellent build quality (e.g. no issues with weak mounts, etc. as with the DLites - have owned two), etc. When used with a Skyport Trx, the built-in remote power control is a god-send, especially if the light is on a boom, etc. Highly recommended.
