Works for me! Definitely like the comp and exposure, processing and color is different, but very interesting.

Makes me wonder what are the large roosting birds? Need to ponder the rest.

Landscape taken at Green Cay, Florida.
Interested to hear your other thoughts as they develop.

Great reflections! Like the 'golden glow' as well. Very nice work!

Very nice - tone and processing. What app did you use?

Nit: clone out roof in treeline.

Bob

Green Cay is an interesting spot. Its located in extreme western Delray/Boynton Beach, not far from the northernmost reach of the Everglades. Green Cay and a similar place, a mile or so away, Wakodahatchee Wetlands, are both man-made environments which recylcle water thru an artifical habitat. Both have boardwalked areas and have attracted large amounts and significant varieties of nesting and migrating birds, making it wonderful for nature photographers and birders. Alligators populate the waters along with turtles, ducks, wading birds, and anhinghas and cormorants spread their wings in the trees. If you get to Florida's southeast coast, these are places to see, other than Everglades NP, Viera Wetlands (havent been there), Merritt Island NWR.

I like it. A darker color for the duotone would make it more moody, this gives it a bright feeling. I like the reflections and composition, the darker shadows at the bottom balance the darker stripe of shoreline well, I considered whether a tighter crop would work better for me but that tonal balance is just right. I also like that it's not the same duotone that everyone uses.

Bob,
LR for initial processing, BW conversion, then Nik Viveza for local adjustments to contrast and brightness (similar, I believe, to NX with U-point controls), then to LR for duo-toning.

Yes, if Nikon/Nik don't soon get their act together with NX (leaks like a sieve) I'm considering switching to CS3 with Viveza,
