The water colors are the reflection from the sky. We camped at the Nigel Creek trail head which is just north of Panther Falls along the Icefield Parkway, Alberta, this place is somewhere between the two... The lower part, nearest the lower edge, looks a bit odd to me. The water is quite grey and although that might be due to more shade there I still feel it should be lighter, almost as light as the rest of the water. Otherwise a really beautiful image. Ute Ute, During mid September, when this was shot, the percentage of glacial melt is at its peak, and with that comes the minerals in the from of rock flour, very fine partials created by the movement of ice over ground, this ends up suspended in the runoff. This particular stream was milky white. Neat to see, but not very photogenic...I'll take your recommendation to task. Thanks! Nov 05, 2009 at 03:06 PM
