The chase is on!
Stopping for a quick bite to eat...
This buck was a camera hog, but he knew how to pose
This is the face he made just before chasing the does off. Seemed fitting!
The dove were EVERYWHERE.
As the shadows got long, I heard something behind me. I had about a 4 inch circle in the blind to look out of and was greeted with this image. Took a few practice shots to get the exposure right.
The sun had set at this point and the light level was at the limits of my lens, but I think it worked out.
This young buck was enjoying the 35 degree morning. He stayed for about 20 seconds before chasing the doe he was concentrating on when I took this shot. The "money shot" was about half a second before I took this one, when his left eye was still in the sun.
This was my personal favorite of the weekend. Something had his attention and I was able to snap a few shots before he looked at me again. I think at this point he was about 10 yards away

Links don't appear to be working, not sure if that is something new on the site or what. They just link back to my flickr page

Great series. Number 2 is the fav for me. I like the angle and composition on that one. - Paul
