Hey Marc,

Super! Great work here. I love the light, and good idea on getting the opening at an angle.

Sick, Marc, totally sick (but in a good way ).

Is this the tunnel from Oceanside to Tunnel Beach?

Looks like Cape Kiwanda but I could be wrong.

Very nice image Marc - I gather from your description you had been scouting the location in advance of shooting this for the right time and date to capture this scene?

Good work and thanks for sharing the results.

I absolutely adore this!! Even without the sun lighting the tunnel it would be fantastic but as it is, it is completely awesome.
Thanks for sharing this!

That cave looks very dangerous to me (I don't know if there is any danger being flooded in there). The shot looks very good and it's definitely matches your extremely high standard. The only nit-pick I have is the water looks a bit too "cool". A bit warmer white balance would suit it better IMO.

Hey Marc,

I took the liberty of viewing your website. One word - WOW.

Some of the most amazing Landscape work I have ever seen. You know, the kind of work that half inspires you & half makes you want to quit!!

Keep up the fine work.

Lee

Gorgeous shot Marc! The light, and the motion of the water is absolutely amazing. Which tripod did you use? I am looking for a tripod that does well in water. http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/831317

No, not too much danger here Milan other than getting your camera really wet, which did happen. You do have to be alert enough to anticipate larger than average waves though, and get out of the way quickly. It was somewhat intimidating.
I agree the water is pretty cool here. Maybe not for everyone, but personally I though the stronger color contrasts with the sunset light made for a more powerful shot.

No tripod that I am aware of does well in salt water and sand. In fact, I've had to customize my beach tripod (a Gitzo CF 1-series) by removing all the plastic sleeves from the interior of the legs (which now are harder to lock and slide out if you pull them too far) just so they don't collect sand and dirt from the waves washing over them and jam.

For the tripod question I just destroyed a manfrotto 458b (in under a year), which is an awesome tripod, b/c of sand. The manfrotto guy recommended the 055xprob as it comes apart and can be cleaned. We shall see.

Always love how smooth and detailed your blends are. Great stuff again Marc
