p.1 #1 · San Diego - Nov 2nd Full Moonrise over Downtown @ Sunset time
To anyone out there who may be interested, I am heading to Pt Loma to shoot the full moon rise over downtown. This is one of the few times of the year where the moon rises as the sun sets, so there is still light in the sky to get good detail in the moon and buildings, and the buildings are still illuminated by the golden evening sun, weather permitting. Moonrise is at 4:43pm and sunset is at 4:57pm.
If anyone is interested, email me directly or reply here, but don't PM me please.

I am looking to get there around 4:15 and am headed to the corner of Lucinda St. & Golden Park Ave. in Pt Loma. It is up in the neighborhoods of some beautiful houses and it overlooks the marinas, bay, and obviously downtown.

Hey Gilman
Unfortunately, it was cloudy and the moon came up farther north that I thought it would for the spot that I chose. So, I did not get anything worth showing. Kind of a bummer, but it happens quite a bit in photography.

We had a full moon last night for the most part. I thought about climbing up on the roof of my garage and setting the camera on bulb. But then I remembered, I'd already drank 4 beers and wanted to be in bed by 10pm. Not in a hosptial bed for 10 grand a night on New Years Eve.
