I have been a bit behind with editing lately due to some family stuff but it is very refreshing to get "back to work"! I did an Engagment shoot with Carly and Jake, and I had blast shooting these two. In a Minnesota fall that has been less than cooperative, we managed to get a few hours of nice weather a few weeks ago. They did such a great job and I am so excited to work with the two of them on their wedding day. I could have posted many more but here are a few of my favorites! Comments and critique are always welcome! Thanks.

Thanks! I really prefer shooting in more of a "urban" setting vs. the natural. But we couldn't pass up the colors.

No flash, and I lugged it all around with my new thinktank system that I have been building. Basically just the belt and two pouches. Strapless camera that I can just clip on to the belt loops with a climbing thingy. I like it so far, but its a work in progress.

There's a lot to like about this set: it looks like the couple had a great time. Lovely colors.

If there was one constructive suggestion I could make: I feel like a lot of the negative-space and/or heavily side-weighted images feel a hint forced. Usually, these sorts of comps work best either when there is truly killer scenery, when its a lone shot that punctuates a series, or if there is some other compelling reason for the unorthodox composition. Esp in the shots that run the couple right to the edge of the frame, I'm not sure that I'm seeing compelling compositional gains made by the choice.
