I didn't know where to ask so I'll try in here. What's the main difference between a Nikon d3000 series camera and a Canon XXD series camera?
I have a Canon 20d and my buddy wants to buy a Nikon d3000 and was asking me the difference? I tried to google it but the only comparison I can find is between a Nikon d3000 and a Canon 1000 or something like that. I don't know what a 1000 series is.
I'm thinking that the Nikon d3000 would be more comparable to a digital rebel.
I think you are probably correct. You can check the specs of both cameras if you go to DPReview.com and do a little looking around. They will analyze a camera to death over there and give you all the specs you could ever use. Not a bad site but the forums can get quite childish. And welcome to FM.
