Experiment with the obvious. Tired of autofocus zeroing in on the net, I moved the focal point down a couple of notches and focused on the bigs' thighs and midsections, and then on the servers' feet. #1 and #2 from endline bleachers, #3 from sidelines. All are in 5x7 format for my website.

Marty, I put 38 on the website--usually from a game, it's about 25.

With vball, I end up with lots of duplicates and lots of very inconsiderate players moving right in front of the lens.

Wow... what must it be like to have that kind of light? I just shot 10 games on Wed. night and the best I could do was 1/400 @ f2.8 @ ISO6400. :-(

Yeah, John--the light in this gym is about the best in our county. Sounds as if you're shooting in a rebuilt mole tunnel.
