This was a slight experiment - I shot these on a piece of black rubber pond liner to reduce the amount of light scattering (I normally shoot them on curved pieces of paper to increase the light scattering).

Incredibly awesome result from your experiment. Colors are so deep without being over saturated. Focus is sharp and clean. I'll have to try focus stacking.

Better shadow control and the resulting image looks more "3D". Hmmm...
