p.1 #1 · Suggestion: View First Unread

Would it be possible to add View First Unread in each thread. It will help to go straight to the post(s) we haven't read already instead to of remembering where we stopped the last time we visited a thread.

Thanks

Good idea ... and it might also save on bandwidth for FM since folks won't have to request/load pages/content unnecessarily.

Yes but Greg, what he is suggesting means that you would have read the preceding posts. I.e. the posts before the 'Last Unread' would have been read................. Thus one would have read through the posts before the 'Last Unread'.

yes its possible, but its not going to happen.
when you dont read thru the posts, people end up making comments that have been made several times, using up space and consuming bandwidth.

As opposed to now where most people read the first few posts and then ignore the rest and post anyway. I think it is a great suggestion, especially since that's not what he meant. Like the above post states - "First Unread Post".

Wondering if there any news about this issue... Not sure how hard/ easy would that be ( I guess it depends on the forum engine), but it's a helpful feature...

Right now I have to either memorize at what page I finished reading a certain thread or go to 'end' and scroll up to an unread post.
