Is anyone using (or tried) a combination of the 100mm APO Elmarit with the 1.4x APO Extender? I'd guess that the IQ holds up very well but I'd be interested in hearing from someone who's used them.
The combination is mechanically not possible since the 1,4x Apo-Extender has a protruding front element and the 2,8/100mm has a flat rear element which lays quite far back.
However it is possible to use the 2x Apo-Extenderwith the 2,8/100mm, even though Erwin Puts writes that the combination isn't anything to be happy about...
OK thanks Maximilian. I read Puts comment on the 100 and 2x, but this is more than I want. The way I read his comment is that a 5.6 lens is just less than useful, which I kind of agree on.
Has anyone had experience with additional close-up lenses (such as Raynox) or bellows? I have the Elpro, but would like get more magnification out of this lens.
