I love the PCB stuff, and I'm glad Paul takes the time to answer on a board... what other major player has it top rep answering questions from the lowly masses? I say thanks Paul, and please keep doing what you are doing..

Well, Canon USA does have Chuck Westfall out there, but Chuck won't put up with any more static than Paul will. Less, actually.

Who knows better than RD about people asking the same questions over and over. I should pay him for the number of times he's answered the question "What's the difference between AB and WL" But, no, I don't pay RD or ask him to do this - don't even know him. Thanks RD

Here's my quote: "There are plenty of posters here who own Paul's gear that are more than capable of speaking of the virtues and vices of his gear. If posters want to find out detailed specs and other esoteric minutiae from Paul, they can reach him any time at his website."

And this is true for ANY product on ANY forum ANYWHERE. Paul and other vendors happen to be here. Should he/others not reply to questions especially when they are regarding a product they/he directly make available to us

Based on many replies between you two (and a few others), Yes! IF the reply was more subjective there would be a better understanding.

I think the 4 usual suspects who complain in these type of threads should just not click on them, and everyone would be happy.

Hey, it's entertaining to watch Deezie and Ellis do the stuff that usually goes on between Deezie and me. BTW, I have never met either of these folks. No wonder these threads get so big. Whoever your are referring to as not running with the crowd - hooray. People who just run with the crowd and have no opinion are followers of those who lead the crowd. But when anyone uses using foul and demeaning language you can expect fireworks. Then, again, a lot of people like fireworks.

How can you ask that in a thread like this... Wtf??

Its real easy.. I just type. Is this the kind of thread where I may not pose questions?

Yeah... When the title is asking if paul should continue what he's doing and then you wonder why no one mentions the max/remote after two pages.. Well gee, think about that for a second... But then again, you DID respond with "I typed it" ... Nice answer.. I obviously failed to recognize that... I should have known to not even bother addressing someone who chooses a username like that...

Now, you insult my name...
Its a nickname for my work in vibration/timing dampening techniques used in engineering, musical, automative, etc. I've spent much time programming the spin microcontroller for PID devices doing flow/hysteresis control in my vacuum equipment where I make composite airfoils and parts for another hobby.

Skanking is most known as a guitar technique, and now some dance is named after it, but I'm the original skank I like to believe.

If you don't like Paul, there's a "hide" button. I enjoy getting updates on any new product and hearing from the manufacturer, even though I don't use aliebee lights. It's always good to know what other manufacturers are offering. Plus it always leads to some entertaining posts when people get all riled up.

Hello Paul, I am in the UK and know next to nothing about you or your equipment bar that where it is sold, it seems to be received as good stuff for the price.

I rarely view this forum but just by coincidence, took a look in at the lighting forum and a post caught my eye about "Grids". You had answered this post with one of the most informative and qualified responses I had seen offered on forums, so much so, I will make a point of reading your input, now.

If you get to sell a few of your products by doing it, that's fine by me, the truth is worth a thousand lies, which normally comes from companies, "pimping" their kit.

Keep it up, I learn a lot from what you say, because you are obviously an expert on the subject, even though I will probably never buy your product.

I very much like the way you explain things, in a qualified, yet understandable and unbiased way.

The information Paul posts here can be very valuable, but Paul also invites people to que up and box with him, which helps pump up the thread noise.

IMHO the forum would be poorer without him, despite the dense reading some of the threads become.

I don't believe I invite them - I respond to them. Perhaps once or twice I may have said something questionable without provocation. I remember one questionable and poorly informed comment regarding Shatterkiss that I quickly apologized for.

On the other side of the fence, I am reliably attacked, with no provocation whatsoever, almost every time my name or products are mentioned. I am insulted and demeaned by a certain reliable group of posters . . . and zero apologies. I have been called racist, a fraud, a crook, a stupid person, crazy, a lousy businessman and other things many many times, for no reason other than . . . what - professional jealousy?

But I sleep well, having a whole lot of friends and customers and a few enemies not of my doing.

Paul...your products and customer service speaks for itself, which is outstanding. Any additional input from you is a bonus in my opinion.

Paul, with all respect, you blantently insulted perhaps this forum's single most helpful and most loved poster (along with Carmen). Not only that, but he was genuinely interested in your products.

If you apologized, I missed it. (Obviously I don't read every thread or see PM's.) The comment I did see you make about it a couple of days later wasn't an apology by anyone's standard.

This soft of thing doesn't make the product information you post less helpful, of course not, but the vast majority of us would be happier without this stuff flowing in either direction.

May be true to some degree - I have admitted that. Don't recall ever saying anything offensive to or about Carmen. But the current poll says my presence here is highly valued and there is no question that I have been attacked and demeaned infinitely more than any other member. Sure, it should all stop, but don't hold your breath - human nature says otherwise.

I've searched through the forum and archives for those three words and nowhere do I see racist or crook mentioned in any thread about you apart from your own statement in this one. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but those are serious claims that I would like to see backed up before attributing them to this board and the people here. There is a thread I found where someone defends you saying you weren't committing fraud but maybe that was misconstrued. By all means if someone on this board did call you a racist or a crook it should be dealt with accordingly.

I don't have the time you seem to have to search the finer points of my statement. So let me amend it say "it has been implied times by certain posters that I am a racist, or crook, or manipulative person, a fool, a con artist, a liar on and on". Now run get your Thesaurus and check out all these for implication.

I think the majority of those who follow these posts closely could help you out on this, but I doubt have the time either. I'm not going to name the names here.
