I just created a action to start with a raw image and work through to saving as a jpg.
I'm using PS CS3 Extended in windows
But it won't work completely on its own.
Here is the steps setup:
open raw file
make changes in settings
click open to ps
crop
sharpen
save as jpg (including compression)
close
It will get to the point the raw images opens, but won't go any further.
If I click on open, it then goes into PS and completes the rest of the tasks, but it doesn't create the jpg either.
You seem to be wanting to automate your raw processing. Before you start creating your action I would suggest you look into a Photoshop Script that ships with Photoshop Menu>File>Scripts>Images Processor or download a more powerful one found in Doctor Brown's services Doctor Browns Process 1-2-3.
1. Open the image in camera raw. Make adjustments and click done.
2. Go to Bridge and click on the image that you just edited. Than go to EDIT>DEVELOP SETTINGS>Copy Camera Raw Settings.
3. Now select all of the images that you want to update and go to above DEVELOP SETTINGS and instead paste settings onto the group of photos.
4. Now you can go to TOOLS>Photoshop>Image Processor to process the image using an action that does the final steps (crop, etc.).
