p.1 #1 · Palouse IR's

Originally posted on the landscape forum, but since a lot of you don't lurk there much, I thought I'd bring them over. The first one is my take on contours and textures. The second is of a place we dubbed as the "schoolhouse" but is actually an old home that is being revamped. The last is an abandoned barn out on Hwy. 23 on the way to St. John.

Stunning images, Tim. My fav is # 2, but they're all excellent.

Tim,
I really like all three- very much. Your compositions are perfect.
I often look at your stuff on Landscapes, but missed these. Thanks for posting them here.

All three shots are beautiful, Tim. I like # 2 the best, but # 3 is a close second. Excellent shots and conversion!

All the best,

Endre

Thanks all. Martin, your thoughts on the third image are very accurate. I walked a few hundred yards to shoot the barn in color, and as an afterthought shot the IR back at our vehicle. shame on me for not walking back out in the field for a better perspective.

great stuffffffff,
just imagine how many folks are shipping their cameras out tomorrow to be converted to IR. what an influence you are!
I really liked #1; then I saw #2 - my favorite; three is good but #2 is sensational - both stark and rich at the same time.
regards, tom

One word - WOW. Although I like them all, number 2 is my favorite - don't know why but the first thing that came to mind was 'X files'. I used to shoot some IR in film days with filters of course, but haven't experimented too much in digital.
Regards,
Bill

Hey Tim,

I'm infatuated with #2 and #1. #1 is actually my favorite (as great as #2 is) because of the abstract look and the gentle curves

All three are very nice. The 2nd is the most striking to me.

No bones about it.
#2 is by far probably my favorite post from you since I've frequented this forum.
Love it.
