There's a lot to get lost in with this shot - well done. This is a B&W conversion, right? Sometimes its hard to tell with something that's naturally grayscale.

Yes. The original had just enough trace of color to distract from the pattern. Therefore, a B & W conversion made a better presentation to my eyes.
