Visited the Lakota Wolf Preserve in NJ yesterday...thought this "pattern" fit the WA. They have 24 wolves under protection. 5 or 6 wolf packs on 10 acres. Interesting place to visit. Many really beautiful animals.
Wolves have recently been removed from the endangered species list and are again being hunted to extinction in many parts of the US. These animals have wide areas to roam and are being protected by the owners of the land. NJ has not had a wild wolf in over 100 years. That to me is the saddest part!
(I'll bet this would work well in black and white.)
It's even more than patterns that trap us (although I really like that, it's the pattern that's saving him)...It's the patterns we don't recognize that are so extremely harmful. On the endangered list, the numbers grow...Oh no's, now wolves eat cattle or sheep. Off the endangered list, OH, let's hunt them to extinction! With helicopters even...
Thanks for you insights!
B+W was nice, but I love the color in his eyes!
