p.1 #1 · What's your blooper?

Yesterday I was leaning over to grab the bouquet to photograph it, and I accidentally stuck my arm in the wedding cake!!! Fortunately I left only a fairly minor imperfection in the cake. I then quickly left the room and removed it from my arm. Tasted real good.

So, what's your best (or worst) blooper?

Had a female MC almost kill herself tripping over me. Got the shot. MC was on the move, I was stationary = not so much my fault. Still should have been more aware.

I accidently smacked a guy standing too close when I was tracking the bouquet during the toss. I had my 28-300L fully extended and that was like a small bat. Still go the shot, even though it was partially sideways from the collision with this guys head. It was his fault in my opinion, because he came up to get the same shot I was already set up for with his little point and shoot.

My dad actually sat in a Cream strawberry gateaux while walking backwards to get "the Shot"

Fortunately is was a Buffet cake..!

He spent the rest of the night with very red face and a very white arse!

Oh man, 2 weeks ago, I was backing up with my prime to get the frame and I was so so close to ending up falling flat on my back into the pool!! Now there is a good argument for switching to zooms!

think i mentioned mine in a recent thread - but 3 or 4 weekends ago i was on the ground on my stomach at the back of the aisle (outdoor ceremony - rose petals all up the aisle - DOF shot yadda yadda) and the friend/video kid literally planted his tripod over my leg. i went to stand up and nearly took the rig out. thank goodness it was just a flimsy tripod and one of those mini-consumer cameras so it didn't make too much noise. yikes!

I blasted a bride in the head pretty freakin' hard with my bony elbow when reaching around to give her a hug! She was thanking me for all the hard work I did as I was heading out, and probably regretted doing so, haha. I felt so terrible . . .

Worst blooper, getting my hand tangled up in my camera's strap while setting down my 5DII + 50L. Result: camera falls onto the hard floor and dies. Bride watches the whole thing in horror.

Oh! I've dropped a brolly on a bride to be on many different occasions during engagement sessions. It just kinda 'pop!''s off their heads. :S

During the getting ready pictures, the bride came out with her undies and asked me to photograph the "the bride" written on it. I think my faced turned red and all the bridesmaid laughed at me.

My blooper was at a wedding that took place at the Brides parents house. They had totally remodeled the house and year for the wedding and part of the additions was a new pond. I was doing formals of the B&G and was right on the bank of the pond when my entire leg went into the water!! since the pond was BRAND NEW the banks werent compacted and were prety much just loose dirt and rock. so i slipped, leg went in the water, splashed all over my D200, 17-55 and sb800. luckily all was fine. the B&G loved the way i just got up and kept shooting. I had a muddy leg the rest of the night but oh well, i got the shot!

Another time during a TTD shoot, I had food poisoning and right after the shoot, got to the top of the hill to go back to the car and threw up like 5 times!! But the pics turned out GREAT!!!

come to think of it......both of these "bloopers" were with the same bride!! HAHAHA I never realized this until now! lol

Backed into the mother-of-the-bride's car as we were leaving the bride's house on the way to the outdoor ceremony. In my defense, she parked VERY close to my back bumper, and had a low profile vehicle...

Only marks were on my car, and we all had a good (and relieved) laugh.

Had been shooting a outdoor wedding that was delayed due to rain. Was about to wrap things up when the Bride wanted one more group picture. I said lets go up to the balcony...right above where everyone was enjoying thier food...the balcony whos floor was made of wood slats with about 1/2" gap between them...

Anyway there was a table in our way so the groom and I decided to move it. It was one of those long folding tables you usually see in schools or churches..... Remember I said it had been raining...when we lifted the table and went to move it I see this wall of water running toward me as his end was lifted higher than mine. I immediately sat the table down and jump back, just in time to see all this water barely miss me...only to hear the sound of a shreek from below as all that water landed directly on a female guest below.

She was pissed, so much so she got up and left before I could get back down their and apologize to her. I really felt bad.
