Hi people,
work has been mad a the moment which is great, though has left little time for some shooting
managed to get away with the wife and my parents for 5hrs today and took a drive down to Rye, a beautiful old village on the south coast near Dungeoness power station.
this hut, i presume a old fishing hut had recently been painted and had not yet seen any bad winter weather.
not many, or none of you liked the treatmant of the other image, here is a unedited image. basically a raw image, cropped and sharpened.
You definitely got emphasis on that roof Simon but the green isn't enough to offset it. I'm afraid this one doesn't work for me. Can we see the color version?
Was the hut really black or was that part of your PP?
A great composition here. Not sure either on the processing. That roof may just be a bit toooooo red for that kind of processing. Did you do one where the rest of the shot is just desaturated partially in color rather then totally to B&W?
Have to join the crowd this is not working for me at all to me it looks like you added the building from another image just not realistic at all but maybe that is the look you were going for
perhaps the green isnt strong enough to help hold the picture together, though the red roof was very vibrant.
as for the black sides, yeh it was dark, though at this size the detail is hidden.
i havent saved it any way, so was just testing teh water
thanks for the feed back, as you kinow, not my normal style
It's fun to play around, and hey, sometimes you just don't know how that creative process will turn out. But this definately helps with the foreground, and those plants are so cool, it really helps to give them some attention too.
