p.1 #1 · King of the Mountain

I wish I carried my 70-200 this day. These were all taken with a 17-55. He just kept posing and was not at all concerned with my proximity. I just kept moving slowly. These were all taken up near Summit Lake on Mount Evans in Colorado, USA.

C+S would be great.

Nice captures Paul. Highlights are blown out a bit especially in #1 capture. Nevertheless neat captures and good job.

Very nice Paul. I like how you captured part of the landscape. That really adds to the image.

Wow that view in #2 is incredible right down to that deep blue water! The tones and the comp in #3 I find very pleasing Great looking animal!

Great shots Paul, sometimes wildlife just surprises us with how tolerant of our presence they can be. I think you benefited by being forced to shoot the whole scenes.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I would like to tell you hiked all the way up Mount Evans, but truth be told, I drove up. This hike was perhaps a 1/2 mile back to this spot. It was fun shooting him. There was another photographer there with a Nikon setup also taking pictures. I was kind of curious to see if I would find his on this board as well.

Thanks again for the comments and encouragement - Paul

#2 & 3 are just wonderful as far as I'm concerned.

Karl has given you excellent reasons so I leave it at that.
