Hi all, I hope everyone has had a great July 4th!!! I took some fireworks pics for the first time. Overall I'm quite pleased with them considering, except for the fact that where I was shooting I had a telephone line within my frame in most of the pics. I was told by a police woman that I could get right up on the fence to take pics. So that's where I had everything set-up. Well then the fire marshall comes over and says I had to get behind the tape; no one was allowed in front of it. I guess when it comes to fireworks the fire marshall overrules the police! lol So being behind the tape put the telephone line within my frame. Anyways, my question is how can I take out the telephone line simultaneously in all the pics that they're in without having to go into each and every one of them? Thanks, and I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Oh yeah, I'm using cs4.

The only way that I know of is to select the files in bridge, open in ACR, select all in ACR and then use the spot removal tool. In order for this to work well, the wire needs to be in the same spot and the exposure is also the same.

It would have been easier to give you a specific answer, if you had posted a sample. But, here is a method that might work.

1. Start recording an action.
2. Use one of the selection tools to select strip of the sky that runs next to the phone lines.
3. Use CTRL J to jump this portion of the sky to the new layer.
4. If the phone lines are darker than the sky, then set your blend mode to screen. (If the lines are lighter than the sky, then use multiply).
5. Using the arrow keys nudge the new layer so it is moving down over the phone lines. They should disappear.
6. Stop the action and name it.

7. Go to Bridge and use the Image Processor to run the action on all of the photos.
