Taken with my always handy pocket camera the other day.

That must have been an interesting sight to see, but for me it's not translating into an interesting photo, atleast not in terms of a landscape photograph.

Sorry,

Jim

Seems part of the landscape to me, sorry you didn't see it that way Jim. That's actually a pretty big part of the landscape in the rural parts around here this time of the year.

I thought when they went from the old traditional 'square' bales to the round ones it wouldn't be as picturesque, but I've found the round bales to be very photogenic. Either spaced out on the large fields or stacked as they are on the trailer.

I like this one. Lots of stories and interps here. Getting the bales out of the fields makes a different comp.

I like that the rig is blocking the road, sorta like "the old and in the way". Now if their was an old tractor or pick up pullen this, that would be the shot!
Looks like you need to clean the front end of that camera, Albert

Thanks Tim. Yeah, this image has a little tale to tell. Not your usual sunset or National Park shot. I liked how the sun came out from behind a cloud and really lit up the area just around the bales for a few seconds as I drove behind it.

Thanks Zeph. I got a couple shots with the tractor pulling it, but it was a little too modern looking and took away from the more timelessness of the image of the oversized bales on the trailer going down a narrow country road without it.

The big bales were throwing off a lot of little straw pieces behind it, that might be what you're seeing. I think I do see some windshield debris that I could clone out though.

I like the less than super tack sharp image the small pocket camera gives in this case too, that little thing does a pretty good job and it's always with me. I'm more of a composition freak than a gear freak so it's fine with me.
