Very nicely done.
The first time I saw painters copying famous works of art in Paris's Louvre I was shocked. I soon learned that it was common practice- but always at different sizes.

Thanks Charlie.

There are many who come into this small museum and draw from the sculpture collection.

This young man is amazing with only a #2 pencil and a piece of paper.

Cheryl,
Here's an idea that might be fun. Next time you're in the museum, try to incorporate the artist, what he or she is working on, plus the real thing being copied. A challenge, to be sure, but it might have possibilities.

Thinking of Charlie's suggestion, I would love to see just a hint of his subject. Nice capture of his work.

cbliss,

i prefer the second image, it has a lot more meaning although the face really does look 3d in the first image

Cheers

Nice, there is something about artist that always intrique me to shoot them as well, I always love shots of a painter working, it is nice to get the scene as well but sometimes just the relationship of the hand to paper is really great too.

platscha, thank you. I am drawn to the artists too. Glad you like them both.
