The GBH has proven to be a difficult subject for me to get good shots of, I hope these suit your taste.

Some fine captures of one of my favorite birds Marty. I really like #2, but the in flight shots are very good also. They are hard to expose for under harsh sunlight, good shooting!

You have done well Marty one suggestion will be to use selective sharpening and use noise reduction on the background. #1 could use both

Perhaps using a flame thrower like a Better Beamer would have helped with 1 & 3, unless they are heavy crops and the distance would have been too great for one to have done much good. Other than that it is as Garen suggests.

Were 1& 3 shot on overcast days?

I appreciate your comments, Garen. Honest feedback is a good thing.
#1 is a tight crop, I use L/R and did the best I could with it. It is noisey but I liked it enough to post.
These are the best I have for now. Just back to photogaphry after a long absence.
Digital newbi.
Thanks again.

Appreciate the response, #1 is the only heavt crop, and was shot on a very overcast day. # was shot very late in the day.

Marty, you are certainly finding your subject with no problem and tracking your in-flights nicely It is obvious that the first is a heavy crop, sometimes on a shot like this just give it more room in the frame which will allow it to hold more detail for you.

#2 looks very good and you can see how good light is going to be your best friend. You will also notice the ones flying over the water will benefit from the reflected light from the water helping fill the underwings on exposure. #5 is a gorgeous shot, nice on Marty! Keep at it, watch your contrast levels in processing. You are doing a great job and improving each time as I see it

Thanks, Don. I am glad to hear that I am not the only one getting beat up!
