p.1 #1 · IPHOTO, IDVD ??

Hello,
For those of you using a MAC and IPhoto and IDVD I have a quick question. When I create a slideshow in either program and then burn it to DVD and view on either the MAC or my HDTV the images seem to be "soft" compared to when they are viewed just as stand alone images in IPHOTO, etc.. Any suggestions or am I missing something to optimize my images for viewing on a HDTV. Thank you in advance for your input.

I sometimes use them for the slideshows and found the same loss of quality, there is no quality adjustment that I know.

Also aiding to your loss of quality is that DVD is 720x532 ish pixels, and then your stretching it to HD 1920x1080, so yeh lose a bit there too.

The only way is to output the video as high def 1280x720 or 1920x1080 , then burning it to a dvd using Bluray parameters so that it plays on a blueray player or ps3, if you play it on a regular dvd player it will be dvd rez, which is 720x480 (ntsc)

If just playing it on a computer, you just need to export at hd resolutions and play the video iphoto does it well

I've noticed this same loss of quality doing the same thing. I don't know of any way to adjust/fix it though. I am interested to see what others come up with.
