p.1 #1 · A Clown's wedding...

Had the pleasure to photograph these seriously funny people a few weeks ago and I would love to know what the fine people at FM think of 'em.

Learned a few things at this wedding.

1. Need more CF cards (bought some yesterday)
2. My Nikon D200 is to be replaced as I feel its no longer up to the task.
3. Need to work on getting better posing/expressions from bride (need to study Mr. Baines's pix more)

Cruel to be kind or nice to be nice, its up to you!

Cheers
BK

Whoa. Cool set!

#11 is something out of a nightmare though.

I like your post work, its not typical at all. At first I was taken aback by #3, but I have to say the effect/look has grown on me. The color palette is nice and consistent throughout.

And 14. Wow!

Some super-fun shots here! I really liked 13-16. Creative and fun with nice processing touches. I might take out/pull back the vignetting on 11 and 12 and I don't know that the two images that make up 7 work together that well. I'd probably just keep 7b by itself.
I really liked this set-what a fun couple to have.

Lots of wonderful shots here. Hard to pick a favorite. Patch Adams would be proud of #11 though. Nice work, indeed!

big fan of this set-very creative and as sam mentioned, still tasteful with some classic touches here and there

shots like 15 are awesome-very conceptual but not hokey-love the humor you infused

i also really like 13-not sure why i like it so much-you snapped at the peak of the action (good timing) but i'm not sure what else, to be honest-just works, i guess

on 9, i really like the simplicity of this-it's about them and their clown garb and expressions-only thing i'm not liking is her left arm, which is locked straight and disappearing into her dress-otherwise, solid

9 rocks out with her socks out, but you're right, some work on facial expressions and might be a good thing. While everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, it looks a little forced to me.

Great work and I like your posing and your ability to capture the moment. Very creative I think the use of desaturation is a little much. Throw it in here and there for some artistic flair but it seemed like a third or more of these were desaturated or overexposed.

Just my two cents. . .

Keep up the great work

Great set, not what I expected by the title, but finally saw where it came from, a follow up shot sometime later of them in full clown costume and makeup would be great to see. I've seen a couple of actual clown weddings with the bride and groom in all their colorful glory and it is fun.

I was hoping that there would be some serious clownage in this set. Thanks so much for sharing! I love it - very cohesive and enjoyable. I'm so jealous of your pp skills - not saying I want my shots to look like this, but I wish I just knew how you got there. 14 - is that a Tilt Shift? Awesome perfect use of it, if so.

CarminaF - Thanks Carm, I'm glad you like them as I know you have a cool alt view on wedding photography. I feel #3 has a American Gothic feel to it.

MPLS_photog - The couple were full of many cool idea's, made it easy for me, cheers!

ksmahgrts - I understand where you are coming from with the lads skin. His skin is super sensitive to the sun but he doesn't let it get to him and thats the way his is... I did take out some of the bigger marks with the healing tool though.

Paul Reams - Paul you might be right. Thanks mate.

Sammy - I'm humbled... what can I say? You make it too Scotland one day I'm buying you a haggis and a kilt! Haha. Cheers ma man.

Volktronic - I'm glad your socks are rocked!

DBPhotography - Thats some kind ass words directed at the BK.

maxwell1295 - Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right... here I'm stuck in the middle of way too much work and not enough cold beer!

Pandacat - Thats what I though, he's a big soft lad inside!

mineymole - Thats my aim! Thank you very much.

Sarah Dickerso - Very kind of you to say!

Tony Hoffer - Thats the exact way I feel about Paul Reubens!!!

radioblurs - Damn your very over observant beady eyeballs!

Stephaniespix - Always nice to hear! Cheers.

canerino - Stop talking... go take pix... post them... please.

timhpark- Nice one Tim, glad you took the time to have a look over.

Wolfe_boy - I am always right! Haha, thanks man.

afaust - These are my more arty ones dude, thanks for commenting.

jasont - How cool it is to have this guy say good things about my pix!

jofoto photo - Haha, how cool is that! Well spotted!

prostudio - Can't help it... I love it!

popawalker - This might happen Steve...

DB - Spend waaaay too much on the computer. Tilt/Shift was added in PS... seen the shot on a scouting mission and knew I had to have it! Cheers ma dear!

Hope I never missed someone oot.

Many thanks to all!

BK
