Latest work (finally finished post)

I am still working strictly with the available light - no flashes or strobes at all, used a few reflectors but that's it.

***Note***
I am still having some trouble getting my B/W conversions the way I want them. Something i will continue working on

Be brutal folks!

I really enjoyed the compositions on these. She looks quite natural in all of them; no forced poses. I looked at your flickr site, too, and there were a couple there that I also like - especially the one with her laying her head flat on the bed.
The first two here seem a bit soft to me. I don't think I'd want them super sharp for this type of shot, but maybe a bit less soft would be better. Just my amateur opinion!

i dont know much about posing people for this type of portrait but 3 seems the best pose to me, i think i like this kind of tight shot to have eye contact.

I think they are all lacking in contrast though. Not sure how you wouldn't do it but I would use curves and not the contrast slider, the curves tool retails shadow and highlight detail and spreads the mid-tones out.

the lighting looks cool though

Cheers

I love the difused feel of the lighting in #2. Its my favorite, by far.

Very nice series. I like number 4, but I think the crown thing detracts a bit from her. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the input guys

i will try the curves slider - hopefully it will give me better results.

side note - #2 was intentionally soft, #1 - not so much
