720P only just like the latest P&S cameras Canon's P&S SX-1 IS has 1080 30P and the Rebel T1 dSLR gets 720P and T1i gets 1080 20P Personally, I won't touch any dSLR without 1080 30P anymore

I agree, I hate video on SLRs. It's a friggen curse and a gimmick. You'll have to pry mah 5D outta mah cold dead fingers before I touch one a spawn 'o Satan video DSLR.

Why not just get a Canon Camcorder? At retail prices, you can easily find one for less than a Rebel.
I already have an excellent Full-HD camcorder. The reason I must have a dSLR with Full-HD 30P is because I need ultra WA and low-light capability for white-water rafting and underwater application so HD camcorder's 40mm equivalent WA and tiny sensor are simply not good enough for what I need.
I absolutely love the new video feature in dSLR. Many creative people will take full advantage of it, and those who don't anything about video will bash it - what else is new

Calm down Peter. You know, you don't have to press the button.

Funny how the rumors are deemed boring when they are about a new Rebel but generate pages & pages of comment when it's a new 1d Mk IV!
That's because Canon currently has 4 Rebels listed on their website, but only one 1D (and that's getting "old").
