Hey all had a quick question i was hopping that you all may have an answer for.
A friend of mine is looking to purchase a D90, but i just wanted to know is Nikon going to be upgrading the camera in the near future?
I'm asking because when i bought my canon they released the 50D like a month later and the price on the 40D dropped like 200 or 300 bucks. Just want to get the biggest bang for thebuck.

Thanks in advance for the advise.
the D90 is not one year old yet, so no risk to have it updated tomorrow.
However, what will happe is the D300 update might make this high-end DX body cheaper whe nthe D300x or D400 is released.
Overall, I recently move from D70 to D90, and it rocks. I also tested hte D300, but for my usage, I coulld not justify the price difference between D90 and D300, and I cose to invest the same amount of money into lenses (16-85VR) + 35 mm and 85 mm f1.8 to come.
yes i agree with everyone. Same sensor as the d300 + video function
i love mine. I do all my professional weddings with the d90 check it out. All of the pictures on the blog are done with the d90 + Nikon 50mm f1.4D or Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 or the Tokina 50-135mm f2.8
