p.1 #1 · Cycling from this weekend....a bit of rain
Saturday we had a road race in the town I grew-up in (actually just outside of town)...and it was only 20 minutes from where I live now. Weather starting out was sunny and a georgous day......calling for chances of shower possible. Well for about 20 minutes during the race we had a downpour...it was GREAT! I've been waiting all year for a foul weather race, shame it was short lived.
I was shooting with the Nikon D700, 300 f/2.8 and sometimes used the 1.4x converter.
I'm just going to post some of the foul weather images here for C&C, but I do have another thread posted today asking about a single image I took that seem to have an excessive amount of POP!?

Chiara,
I agree....I've been waiting all year to shoot a foul weather race - I think it adds such an impact to an event. I was so excited when it started to rain.....but it only lasted 20 mins of hard rain and then another 10 of light rain and then it was over
I skipped the Phila race this year. All of the big time Photogs are there and most of the mags are obligated to use there photos so I'll never get any media sales out of it. Decided to skip it this year.

Hi Michael,
Sweet images! I feel like you don't see photos in these weather conditions very often, especially at a cycling race. They are absoltuely wonderful..
Also - were you able to shoot the TD Bank Race in Philly two weekends ago??

Really super images Michael. Certainly not what most of use see. They are all awesome but #4 is my favorite, love the angle and everything else in it. Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE these! If you want to shoot foul weather, this year you should've come up to Canada - almost all of our races have had some ugly stuff going on. (One of them I had to wear winter riding gear!)
