p.1 #1 · Camera Gear / Planes Article

As many landscape photographers fly (and there is no travel forum ) I thought it was a good idea posting this here.

If you are planning some international flights this summer and wondering how to get your precious camera gear on the plane as hand luggage, you might want to have a good read. Discussing the pros and cons of three 'systems' I use for travel, with weights, sizes and a look at why my knees will pack up in the end! I pay particular emphasis to the 'tardis' called the ThinkTank Airport Acceleration v2.0 which has been the answer to a lot of my travel problems.

There is also advice on what to pack where, pooling hand luggage and how to survive the worst thing happening, your hold luggage going missing. It all comes from nerve wracking experiences over the last three years of travel. I am sure many wildlife shooters have a different regime, but I hope this is food for thought.

Many thanks...

David
