Its funny when I saw two I was hoping you would feature a closeup of their shoes. How great are these two? The combination of tilt with leading lines is just great. The framing and her expression on 11 is perfect! Love how intimate it feels. WOW NOW THAT IS A RING, 16 is gorgeous, perfect.
Nice set Tony. I think I saw these from the link you had on facebook. I really like the background idea for 6, quite nice. 8, 9, and 18 stand out the most to me... and are my favorite shots from this set. I also like 12 quite a bit. Custom Hoffer reflector eh? Now I know why the brides have that glow on their face.
Great set, really well done. Would hate a shot like no.10 of me and the wife though, my increasing bald spot would look terrible and make me even more conscious about it!!
8 is my favorite -the perfect black and white shot, although I bet it looked pretty darn good in color as well. Love that conversion. That ring shot is fantastic! A lot of good emotion - and you did shot 4 well. I think that's one of those shots that cannot be credited to one person in particular. I love shots like 17 - it's so hard to get it right. You had the perfect couple for it. Wondeful set - thanks for sharing!
Any particular reason for the tilt in some? I don't think it detracts - I was just wondering. I sometimes shoot from the waste or the floor and accidentally tilt, then like it. Just wondering if you found the comps stronger.
Thanks for all the comments and tips folks. All are very much appreciated!
To Deb, Evan and others regarding the tilt...I've done a 180 of my opinion on tilt in the last 6 months. I've actually made an effort NOT to think about it... I've been trying to improve my composition on every shoot since December, and I guess sometimes I just think it looks better that way. Who knows if it actually does or not.
Thanks, Tony - I sometimes try a straight crop, then go back to the tilt. I've been thinking through it lately. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. It's interesting to hear that you've changed your mind on it. You clearly aren't purposefully tilting in order to add a style to your shots, so I wanted to hear how you were thinking through it.
