NOTE: IF YOU WERE AT THE SHOOT PLEASE ADD YOUR IMAGES TO THIS THREAD. OMG!!!
OMG the CASTLE shoot!!! OMG!!!
So first off, OMG!
The shoot was brilliant. I loved every minute of this one and it will NOT be our last time there. We had another photographers shoot out and this time it was at a castle in the city of Ione California. We had 13 photographers, 5 models, 3 MUA's. The girls each had 3 dresses. 1 wedding dress, 1 vintage dress and 1 Goth/Punk dress. OMG!! The MUA was freakin amazing. Worth her weight in gold. She had a connection to some high fashion bridal dresses. She brought 30K in clothes just to this shoot. OMG!!!!
The castle was crazy. It was completely wore and the history there was throughout. There were 80 other photographers here that day, so at times it was a little tough avoiding traffic. We made due.
We shot with 4 objectives in mind. Shoot for the portfolios of the MUA, models, the Dress boutique and lastly ourselves.
NEVER have I edited a set of images this fast. This was extremely fun and a breath of fresh air from what I've been doing as of late. After about 4 hours of shoot time and 400 files, these are my favs. Out of the 5 model I shot 4. I never even saw the last girl. Sucks. Comments critique appreciated. Thanks for the look see guys.
These are awesome quite inspirational, any pointers or tips you guys have on setups or techniques I think everyone would really appreciate. You are all very blessed to have such a great bunch of shooters out there and have such a great place to shoot.
I like the change up with your outside strobe shots. This is something I have been practicing lately as well.
#5, 9, and 17 show the best emotion and connection with the camera. The goth girl with the piercings also had great eye connection but hers were consistent throughout the set.
22 feels like you caught her at an awkward time.
Anyway you look at them you have some world class pictures here.
Nice job.
Scott's #5 is it ninja style or Camera Kid?
O-M-G!!! Like sooooooo OMG! Hahahaha seriously, awesome shoot, you are one talented guy Mr. Hassas, i would kill to have your talent (And should they ever perfect brain transplants maybe i willl (evil laugh inserted here) heheh ), and your models, and cameras, and the list goes on!
SAM....2,13,18,30, 38 are your winners. The rest of them are just amazing, haha. You rocked it bro. Oh and 39 = lightstand clone FAIL. haha, love the shot though. OMG OMG OMG OMG.
Richard...no list, but I'll tell you this: some of the most talented/savage wedding photographers in Northern California were there. Several of them were actually some of my personal favorites from our area (albeit friends, too).
dang sam. first 9 totally had me saying wow. #13 I like the way her hands, face and eyes flows with the cables on the wall. Wished the girl on #28 would shim a bit, right between the windows. That would make a good shot perfect.
Woulda loved to drive up and shot with you guys...

Nice work with the models, very fashion-y, but I don't see much wedding stuff here, except maybe some of the natural light portraiture. Good work nonetheless, don't get me wrong

Thanks guys. Clone fail was a 4:00 am fail. Fail.
I posted these in the wedding forum cause their wearing wedding dresses. I mentioned that in my OP. Read the thread.
Dang dude, you even drink Haterade on Easter Sunday morning.
"Unscrew the jar" lol Sam is hardcore. I have to say this was one of (if not and probably) the coolest things I've ever been a part of. I have never felt like I learned so much in one day and it only makes me want to push myself further and to be that much better. Awesome.
