Craddosk Offline Image Upload: Off p.1 #1 · Viewing Geotagged photos... Quick question, I'm looking at geotagging my photos but the viewing aspect has me confused. While I understand that you can load the pictures into Google Earth or Flickr and view them on a map, this (from my understanding) requires an internet connection. Is there software (compatible with Apple) that will permit for the viewing of geotagged photos on a map (similar to Google Earth, or even just a straight map) that does not require an internet connection to view? I was thinking a program that I would demonstrate the routes taken from the GPS (once added in), with the option of viewing where photos in my library were taken along said routes. Thanks. You could do stuff like this with a geo information system (GIS) like TNTmips, Global mapper, ... but this shooting with canons on sparrows. The only offline solution I know right now is Digikam Map Search Tool using the "open source Google-Earth" Marble. This is all part of the KDE4 projekt and for Linux. There is a alpha status port to Windows. I do not know about Mac. As a Mac user I would have a look at Geofinder from CDFinder. Not offline but a cool spatial picture search for your harddrives ...
