Interesting composition and while the image as a whole leaves a tad bit to be desired, I love the conversion. Beautiful black and white tones and contrast.
Great conversion, and I love the subject. The composition gets one's eyes bouncing back and forth. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but it's an interesting approach. It creates a certain tension in the scene that is otherwise admirable for simplicity.
Thanks everyone for the comments. The B&W conversion on this subject was actually quite difficult as the original colors were not really the nicest. I was really going for the minimalist composition and I'm glad to see that people feel that it worked.
JBurnett: The tension was intentional and I even emphasized it by doing a wide and short crop. I tried to emphasize the wheel a little more through the use of the vignettes.
