p.1 #1 · Susan & Glen / Beach fun in South Florida
Hey guys and gals. Just had my first engagement shoot two weeks ago and wanted to post up my favorites. We met up at 7:30 am just in time for the sunrise. I’m jealous of you all on the West Coast who can just do beach shoots in the evening during sunset! I was really worried about the weather for this shoot since it had been raining on an off during the week. We got lucky and it ended up being a nice morning. The couple was very easy to work with. The bride-to-be added me as a flickr contact over a year ago so it was nice to finally meet her in person. I am Filipino and did not know they were also Filipino until the photoshoot so it was cool to have something like that in common to chat about moving from spot to spot.
Hope you all enjoy them and C&C is welcome. I’m always looking to learn and from the threads that I’ve read on here, there are some really talented and inspiring photographers who are sharing their knowledge.
For those interested in seeing the full set, you can go to my site (www.uriahbaet.com) and use “cabezas” as the password in the clients section.

I really like these! Totally different processing than what I do, and I think that's why I like them. I'd love to play around on the east coast - sometimes the sun gets in the way of things. I'm planning a model shoot sometime in your area - let me know if you'd be interested.

When the light is right. It's sooooo right. Very nice set. 12 is my fav. I think the ring is a little lost in 10, and I can hear sirens, cause I think that selective color is illegal, dude.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Really appreciate them!

DB, I find that you can get nice lighting with the sun while it's low, such as during sunset or sunrise. It's the mid-day sun that's tough to deal with. Let me know when you are planning on doing your model shoot. Sounds like fun.

that one was shot with the Sigma 20mm f/1.8 so it's not a true macro but you can get pretty close to it. I cropped it down a little to show more detail. I'll have a macro for the wedding so I'd like to get more shots of it. there's another shot of the ring in the slideshow that my wife says is better so maybe I'll post that one up.

You work for Mosler?!!?!!?! Screw your photography....can I come and visit you at work?
Dave
haha, yes, I do work for Mosler. I'm guessing you're a car guy? where are you located? management has been tough on having visitors now because we had a couple engines stolen and had some random guy with with a gun being chased by cops come through the shop and dump some drugs in the toilet. I used to give tours all the time but now they're not really wanting to have anyone in the shop unless they work here.
