I just got a new toy today. The Voightlander 40 mm f1.4 Nokton with Leica M mount. Hooked up to a Rong Jin Leica M/Micro 4/3 adapter I have a very small and light weight package.
Focusing with the G1 is very easy. I have not try too many wide open shot yet. I will when I get out of the office and find better subjects. So far from the drab subjects I shot, wide open performance is good. The only complain is the minimum focus distance is pretty far away at 0.7 m.
Hansen,
Very nice little combo for travel.
Like the sharpness of the portraits and the colors.
You and Mawz are having all the fun with the G1 and
making us very envious.
Is the Rong Jin adaptor the same as the jinfinance on Ebay??
I've considered that lens but haven't added anything but FD lenses so far. I really would like something fast in the 35-40 range. I have a 35 f/2.8 but would love a f/1.4 and this looks very nice.

Once a pen FT adapter is available (I hope soon) there will also be the pen F 42mm f1.2 and 40mm f1.4, both very nice portrait lenses I think.

Godfrey Digiorgi has posted some excellent stuff over on the PDML from the PenF 40/1.4 on the G1, done with the extension tube hack for an adapter.
Diane, yes the Rong Jin adapter is sold by jinfinance on eBay. He is shipping pretty fast now that the original delay is over. The M mount side is using a slit in the brass material to create the friction so I would imagine it wearing out eventually if the lens is taken off the mount a lot. I am not sure what the Rayqual mount uses until I get my hands on one.;-)
I pretty much have the same FD lenses you have and I found the FD lenses a bit on the heavier side. This little Voigtlander is so small and cute, I just love it.
