Nice colors and a big,wide view despite using a telephoto lens. Lovely colors. Way to go with your creative thinking! Some might call a 40-mile-away shot "lazy man's photography" but you've shown them to be wrong.
Gorgeous light and scenery. For my taste though, this is where pano formats come into play and I would have considered cropping from the top to a 6x12 format. I'm very envious of the color and scenery though!

Thanks. I was down at the lake and took a look to the north and saw this going on at the peak. The mountain wave clouds were just hanging around the peak itself so I ran up to the truck and grabbed the 300mm and gave it a shot. Just lucky to catch it.
