Okay, so you can't always have your DSLR with you. I thought it would be fun for everyone to post those cool shots from when they just couldn't reach their "real" camera in time.

I can't figure out how to download the pictures off my phone! Even the manual glosses over that part.
Send them to yourself, via email?
Great shot, Ariel. Very cool. MGrenkow - you might want to invest in a card for your cell phone. I got a 2 GB card plus an SD adapter at Best Buy for $10.
Cool stuff guys. I find myself in that situation a bunch a times ... and this happened again just this Tuesday. My buddy Teddy and I went for a bike ride and driving back home we decided to stop by House of Billiards in Santa Monica, because traffic was horrible. Efren Reyes, World Champion, came in to play one of the regulars.

As an aspiring photojournalist, I used what I had availvable to me (my iPhone camera) and documented my long day.
The following contains graphic images and please proceed with caution.
I took a lot of pride in having a lot of balance. I haven't fell down in over 10 years. I haven't fallen down any steps, over any curbs, not even ice could take me down. Well today that streak ended.
We knew the roads would be bad but still had to go to work. As we left our subdivison we saw what looked like a cemetary of cars along the main road. I knew I had to be careful.
After dropping off my son I got back on the outer road to avoid all of the traffic on highway 270. As I came over a hill at about 25mph I saw a few cars all over the street about 20 yards ahead of me. I stepped on the brakes a few times (don't have abs) and then I tried to accelerate out of the skid but it was too late. The car was out of control and there was no getting it back. I was able to see that there was a police officer assisting the drivers who had already crashed ahead of me. He looked at me, and I looked at him as I skid towards him. He hopped on top of a car as I smashed into one of the wrecked vehicles.
After a moment (about 2 seconds) of processing what just happened, I told my wife we had to get out of the car now. It wasn't safe to stay there but it sure wasn't safe to be standing around in the street.
I could see a lady in front of me screaming. Once I got out of the car I could hear her screams. I looked to my right and the cop was up and coming from behind the cars. I asked if he were ok and he said he may have broke his wrist. I helped my wife across the icy road into the grass. At that same time, the cop dragged the screaming lady from her car to the shoulder of the road. She had a leg injury. He had already gone back to the another wrecked car and I followed him to see if he needed help. He pulled a kid from a caviler and started to head towards the grass. I went to the car to see if there were any other children in that car and there weren't. So I helped the mother out of the car and got her out of the road. They were both ok.
Then I turned my attention towards the screaming lady on the shoulder. I knew it wasn't a safe place for her. I went to grab her and drag her off the shoulder and put her into the grass.
I started sliding down the icy driveway. And I thought to my self I need to get low and try to sit down so I don't fall. And the instant I had that thought, SMACK.
I got right back up and touched my head and saw the blood on my left hand. My first thought was, "Finally, I got the scar that I always wanted." My second thought was that I think I helped enough for one day.
Right about then, the fire dept. and tow truck showed up and started getting things in order.
But I'm not really upset though. First and foremost everyone involved was ok. And the size of the Crown Vic was the reason why I got it. So I could hit stuff and not get hurt.
My mom ended up coming to pick us up. We took the Mother and child who I hit and helped earlier to their home. After that I went to the ER to get my first set of stitches.
