The wedding I just did this past Saturday as a 2nd was a Malaysian (groom)/Chinese-Japanese (bride) and boy there were lots more uncle bobs and aunt suzies that were armed w/ at least 30D and an L zoom than at any other wedding I've shot at.
Two gentlemen had 40Ds w/ L glass, I saw at least 2 other rebels, 2 D300s, Sony A300. It just amazed me how many Asians have a fancy dSLR (me included haha).
But of course, they didn't have PWIIs w/ off camera lighting (copying Hassas and Pingo and Gabe and Hoff and Spence, etc.).
Have you ever done a Lao or Hmong wedding? ...I had such a hard time with a Lao wedding I did last month. Uncle bobs everywhere with nice cameras and camera phones. They were actually pushing me out of their way! Oh well. You do what you can.
