If you like yellow and blowouts on the shines, then its ok.

lylejk the yellow tones are the usage of a NIK plugin to simulate a gel on the lights.
2 tones actually.

You lost me on the blowouts. Like what?

Thanks for the comments.

I would loose the simulated yellow gel, ruins some nice shots. work on bringing out some of the facial and hair highlights and sharpen the eyes.

First one ..no gel and repair the highlights (burned out in hand and cheek)
Last entry, maybe should be a vertical, to much black on both sides. I like the blur but the eyes and lips, I think should be sharper and the hand on the left is in focus and maybe should be out like the rest of that area. hard to tell with this small image

Thanks for the comments Don.

Its always enjoyable to see the power of suggestion on this forum. The first image
was shot with a computer attached to the camera and checked on an histogram.
So the choice in lighting is very precise and deliberate. Check it for yourself and it
may surprise you. The lights were read separately at 100 ISO and for f8 and on
manual settings on a Canon 5D. Btw, the same lights and settings on the second
image.

Indeed the last entry has a darker edge. The lights were dimed and the experiement
was to shoot using Canon EF 85mm f1.2L II USM at ISO 400 and f8. The vignetting
is the application of a NIK plugin. Even light wasn't the intent but I hear you.

Thanks.

I like the composition and expression and eyes looking in the direction of the open space.

The yellow cast (I know its intended) does not work for me.
