Rather silly question but I've got a bride interested in having some created. I've never made one but I assume that these are typically printed double sided on post card stock and I would create the layout and text in PS??

Save the day cards are very traditional and sent ahead of the wedding invitations in a nice lined envelope. Most I have seen are about 4" high x 7" long. Of course a non traditional couple may want something different. Traditional are single side with basic information

(Just for the record, when you're with your clients, don't refer to them as "STD cards" like I just did, but quickly edited out)

The two companies I've signed with to create prints for me don't have STD cards specifically mentioned in their price list (CPQ and Burell color labs) so I'm trying to figure out some pricing and workflow.

i've had clients that have wanted fun and casual save the date cards. it gives them a chance to show more of their personality than in their formal invitation.

do them however they want.
i have seen business card to 5x7 size.
postcards, magnets, greeting cards, etc...

a good place to start is premiumcards.net

they have lots of different style cards you could design and recommend to your couples.

We generally do ours as a postcard with an engagement photo on the front, the couples names and wedding date, and some cool design element. Then on the back it is either a personal message from the couple or general save the date information.
