Hi, My name is Mike and I just joined FM a couple days ago. I've mostly been on the sports forum, but wildlife is also an interest and for me a great way to get out, stay sharp, and practice my skills. I see some awesome work here. Here are some of my favorites from the last year:
Hi Mike and welcome!!
These are fantastic portraits and the BIF shots are terrific!!
Love the Skimmer with great perspective and the BG in that last frame is killer!!
Really looking forward to seeing more of your wildlife work Mike, this first installment is outstanding
Welcome to the NW forum Mike Your images show you have a very good eye for comps and color. You have captured great eye contact which is often very important in these animal and bird shots.
A few quick thoughts, always try for the lowest possible angle on the ground animals and you could post a bit larger for us to enjoy too!
Fox is gorgeous, and I like the last image much too, hope to see you stay and contribute often.
Thanks for the welcome! It's easy to look like I know what I'm doing when I have a whole year's worth of images to choose from. Both the fox images have won back-to-back contests at the local camera store after our trip to a local wildlife preserve. They're skittish, but strike that one great pose if you're ready. I look forward to participating here.
Mike,
Welcome to the forum, look forward to seeing more from you.
These are all great images. I like the detail, pose and colors in #3 the best of the set.
Welcome Mike! You are off to a wonderful start, these are wonderful. For these I would have to pick 3 for the great pose and nice rich colors. Well done and looking forward to seeing more of your work.
However, please cease posting here and go back to the sports forum. There are already enough people posting on "nature & wildlife" that are in a different league to mere mortals like me, I don't need another person adding to my feeling of photographic inferiority!
Seriously though, looking forward to seeing more of your images, work from the premier division is always inspiring.
