Here is my honest critique of the site. I know it is what you would want. It is meant in a tactful way for you to consider, and in a friendly tone.
I like the layout. The links are easy to use. I like that there is no music to have to turn on/off. I like the color scheme. It has a general "good" feel when navigating. Of course, I like the photography, too. I also REALLY appreciate the tutorial on HDR. Too many snobs don't like to share. They covet their processing. I appreciate your helpfulness and selfless attitude here.
What to consider for changes: I don't like that wedding prices aren't posted for each package. I want to know up-front, and not have to e-mail or call for that information. That's a personal taste thing, I know. Not posting prices may also be a good way to weed out non-serious lurkers. Given the option, however, I would probably be more inclined to inquire from the posted price photographer first.
Secondly, I see punctuation errors frequently, and this is something that you may want to look at. Of course, my degree is in English, so I tend to nit-pick at that more than most.
Lastly, I'm not a fan of the font. It was difficult for me to read, although the color contrast was nice.
In sum, it is very nice and well put together. My nits are just things to add polishing touches...
Tim
Beautiful images Alan. I've really enjoyed your B/W venice pictures, but I have to say the color versions are really great too.. All very nice. Loaded quickly for my DSL connection.
Oh, and you misspelled color! (wink, wink, nudge, nudge...)

Love the look of the website. The contrast of the colors work really well...and it looks very professionally made as well. For your wedding photography, you should really post prices for each of your packages. Also, that little up and down arrow is really annoying to scroll. Maybe adding a scrollbar would be much better.

Thanks Tim
For an excellent critique. The wedding package prices will be added very soon and also as a PDF download.
Unfortunately I cannot change the font style without changing the template.
Your right my grammar is terrible, I will get my wife on to it .

Hi Eric thanks for the feed back, prices will be posted soon. I agree the scroll thingy is annoying, I might have to change the whole template though

All the best Alan >>
To a very talented Alan, I assume you live in Britain and want to work in Britain, if that is so it's not a good idea to ask on an American Forum for help in spelling - there are certainly differences like i.e. - color (American spelling) and colour (English spelling ) etc. A good Idea though to have your wife check it all out
Alan, are you the same talented bloke who blew us all away with his candid shots in London on DPr That was years ago...Awsome stuff - and if I rightly remember: you did just meet your wife then, isnt that right?
Good luck to you and a Happy New Year to you and yours....
I really enjoy the website, but if your sole purpose is to have the website to advertise wedding photography, you should make everything on the site 100% dedicated to wedding photography...or create another sub-website to purely showcase your wedding work. Don't get me wrong... I love your B/W photography and landscapes...but I'm sure that doesn't really interest someone seeking a talented wedding photographer.
... Sorry Alan, my mistake should have looked around more on your website... very polished and I like the understated style - I am sure that you will be a success - can't fail with that talent

Thanks Eric,
Point taken, moved a few things around, until the second area of the web site is developed
