wow! i just checked out your pbase website and your images have a lot to say!! i especially like 'sky walk'. your first picture looks scary to me - i'm not sure what it is but i do know i wouldn't want to meet it up close! great DoF though!!
i like the use of open space in the 2nd picture. my only concern is the top LH corner. that dark spot is a bit distracting to me. i don't think i would eliminate it as i find it balances out the picture but i may just tone it down a little bit. my opinion only!
whoa! your first picture in your second post is awesome!!! the comp, tones and texture are really well done. as for the changes in your first picture i still think i would prefer it with a lighter shade of dark in the top LH corner. again, i find that that dark spot helps to anchor the photo and creates a balance between the bottom RH and Top LH sides but it just needs to be toned down a bit.

2. (version 2) Intriguing. Antigravity in operation? I like the tones. The balance with lighter and darker tones upper left, lower right, and the subtle OOF light area lower right (and more subtly, lower left) working again to mirror and balance the stone.
3. Interesting study in tone, texture, shadow and shape. Works for me!
4. A bit more disturbing, to me. I think of spiders and their eggs. But could be grapes. berries, etc. Provocative.
