So I've gathered that soe of you give your clients a questionnaire to fill out to learn more about them- what kind of questions do you ask?

Hmmmm ... I have a regular questionaire that is meant primarily just to help me figure out all the whos, whats, wheres, whens, and whys. Actually got it from another photographer.

But are you asking more about personality things? Like trying to determine the best e-session location? Figuring out personality? etc.? I have a long list of questions I just asked one of my clients -- wouldn't recommend it as a regular list, but I'm paring it down.

Which of those are you interested in?

Here's my list, I call it the formal details:

Formal Details

Bride's full name:
Groom's full name:
Address after wedding (include ZIP):
Phone after wedding:
Bride name change? y n
Emergency phone(s) on wedding day:
Time to start:
Bride getting ready location (include ZIP):
Bride sees groom before ceremony? y n
Ceremony time:
Ceremony (include location name and address):
Receiving line? y n
Reception time (cocktail hour, getting introduced):
Reception (include location name and address):
Special shot list - include anything unusual/nontraditional I should keep an
eye out for, and also the groupings of your family members during the formal
shots.

Fun Details

How did you find me?
Wedding colors:
Caterer:
Florist:
DJ/Entertainment:
Baker:

I email this to the bride about 2 weeks to 10 days before the wedding. Hope this helps!
