p.1 #1 · Kids today

1. Son fell asleep in his chair. Did some cropping and rotating to get the face how I wanted it.
50mm f/1.4 1/50s ISO 400
RAW processed in Lightroom then noiseware for noise.

2. My eldest loves cameras dearly.
50mm f/2.5 1/60s ISO 1600
Shot in raw, converted in Lightroom then noisware for noise. Noise was horrendous in this one, but the best of the three I got before he discovered the quick release on the tripod and the S3 bounced on the floor...

p.1 #2 · Kids today

1 is too soft for my taste. Also I would make the frame straight through face rather than angled. The background is distracting.

2 is too pinched (looks like looking through a keyhole to me) and has a yellow cast. I would leave some negative space somewhere to improve.
